Abstract
Glaucoma has always been a complex disease and management was usually medical, with surgical treatment reserved for advanced disease, especially considering costs and risk of surgery. This concept is now being changed with the advent of Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgeries, with many Key Opinion Leaders considering glaucoma a surgical disease which can be managed adequately and safely with MIGS. This allows glaucoma treatment to be much safer and reduce dependence on chronic lifelong medication on treating this silent thief of sight.In this course, glaucoma experts from various eye institutes teach what are the options available for MIGS in India, how to get started and when to do it. In addition to tips and tricks on intraoperative gonioscopy and other aspects of getting started with MIGS, the speakers discuss in detail GATT, Kahook Dual Blade, BANG, Tanito hook, iStent and Augmented Reality teaching of MIGS surgery.
