Strabismus is a common childhood oculomotor disorder which can cause absence of binocular vision if not treated at the right time .The global prevalence of strabismus among children range from 0.14%-5.65 % .Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment of this can restore better visual acuity and binocular vision .The role of a Strabismus surgeon is thus not mere ,especially when they have to deal with the paediatric population. They need to be even more careful in this era where medico legal issues are going up .Hence , for a novice paediatric Ophthalmologist who is just out of his/her fellowship, it is always an apprehension as to how to start of their practice with minimal or no complications and to decide on the initial precautions which need to be taken in their initial stage of career . This IC helps them to gain confidence in the management of strabismus .
