Uveitic entities are varied entities that are infective or non-infective in etiology. It is essential to differentiate infective and non-infective conditions as their management is diametrically opposite. Infective posterior uveitis is a clinical diagnosis based on characteristic fundus picture and relevant positive history. Laboratory investigations are predominantly based on antibody testing against the specific antigen and PCR testing for the particular genome. Other tests to detect associated systemic condition may be required to clinch the diagnosis.
