Abstract

Socket examination leaves most practising ophthalmologists addled. This course aims to help the listeners understand the simple steps of socket examination & elucidate the steps of surgeries such as evisceration and enucleation. Contracted socket management will be dealt with at length followed by steps of socket rehabilitation using customised prosthesis. There was a rise in cases of Mucor where most required exenteration, spiking an interest in this intervention which will also be covered.
