Abstract
Halting the progression-Comprehensive assessment of detection and management of glaucoma progressionGlaucoma is a chronic, progressive, optic neuropathy. The management of glaucoma is basically aimed at reducing the IOP and controlling the progression. Detecting progression structural or functional is a very important part of glaucoma management. The structural progression is assessed by serial assessment of optic nerve head clinically, serial fundus photographs, OCT of optic nerve head and Ganglion Cell Complex analysis. The functional progression is detected by serial assessment of visual field. The Guided progression analysis can extrapolate the data in to 5 years and can detect the rate of progression. The GPA alert can warn the physician regarding the need for treatment modificationsTimely detection of glaucoma progression can help to modify glaucoma treatment and helps to achieve target IOP.
