Abstract
As glaucoma is the leading cause of irreversible blindness, various clinical skills and diagnostic technologies have made early detection and timely diagnosis of glaucoma possible. Gonioscopy is a fundamental clinical technique which aids in visualizing the anterior chamber angle and categorizing glaucoma into angle closure and open angle types. With the advancement of technology, non- invasive ASOCT helps to visualize the angle structure and study the anterior segment pathology. As there is retinal ganglion cell apoptosis in glaucoma the structure assessment using OCT and the functional assessment using visual field analysis is important. For eyes with high risk of progression, understanding progression analysis using HFA and OCT becomes essential. This session is designed to offer practical insights into all diagnostic methods for glaucoma, tailored for general ophthalmologists and postgraduates. The goal is to ensure accurate diagnosis without either over or underdiagnosis.
