Like all the sub specialities in Ophthalmology, Paediatric Ophthalmology is also introducing and adapting newer strategies in tackling the various ocular morbidities affecting the paediatric population. In this IC we are presenting the newer methods of vision screening in preschool children and also the newer modalities of Amblyopia treatment. Both these topics are vital in recognising and treating visual morbidity in children. The ever increasing myopic population is a matter of concern and we have low dose atropine drops for myopia being used for a few years now.The IC also discusses the current position of effectivity of low dose atropine and the recent introduction of myopia control glasses and its effects.
