Ocular trauma is a major cause of preventable blindness in the world especially in developing countries. The resultant loss of vision leads to psychological , economical and professional crippling of the patient. It is a public health issue as well. The WHO programme for prevention of blindness suggests that annually there are 200,000 open globe injuries and 1.6 million are blinded from injuries. Our instruction course will take you through the ocular trauma special scenarios that we come across in our emergency room and explain what not to miss and how to manage and go about it confidently.
