Abstract

Pediatric Ophthalmology, a fast growing subspecialty in Ophthalmology, is in for numerous changes with the advent of significant advances both on the pharmacological as well as technological aspects. Many situations which were labeled as irreversible have taken a sharp turn towards positivity and thereby revived hope. Under such scenarios it’s our duty as professionals to be updated to these advancements. As the technology is taking us towards eagle vision we shouldn’t be unaware of our basic molecular sciences and those unfortunate parents with differently abled offspring, who come to you with doubts and seek for advice . In this instruction course we try to enlighten you on the various advancements in this specialty and also a overview on molecular genetics, a less travelled, but gravely important territory in this specialty
