Abstract

New developments in imaging , therapeutics and understanding of disease have made it vital to change our approach in diagnosing and treating retinal conditions.This instruction course will present these newer altered paradigms in diagnosis and treatment in an algorithmic fashion. The topics that will be dealt with are Diabetic Retinopathy Age related, macular degeneration, Polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy, Central serous chorioretinopathy Vascular occlusions and Posterior uveitis. The erudite group of speakers will simplify diagnosis, imaging , treatment decision and prognostication into a clear algorithmic pattern and will provide insights into why such an approach will suit management better and the intricacies and reason behind all the decisions.This lucid, yet comprehensive approach of creating an algorithm for all these conditions will help both specialist and general practitioners to organize their thoughts for more effective diagnosis and management.
