Abstract

"From time immemorial Ophthalmic practice revolve around outreach Free Eye Camps and Charitable services by various Govt/Private Eye Hospitals/Institutes and Medical Colleges. From the last two to three decades it drifted to rich dad from poor dad .The other side of this coin is we started losing the human touch, some times unethical practice in these activities. Here in this Instruction Course we are showing the history and evolution of free eye camps, evaluation of different models, present day functioning, newer models like Telemedicine with Mobile Bus and future of outreach camp activities. We will be highlighting the scope for new models in eye camps for private, corporate and government practice without losing the magic of human touch. How we should not surrender to the advancement in technology including Artificial Intelligence which doesn’t have love, compassion, human touch and expression."
