Abstract

Phacoemulsification has become the standard mode of cataract surgery since past 2 decades. Once the surgeon become confident to operate standard cases, the next step is learning management of tricky or complex situations. Many cataracts like intumescent, dense hard nuclei, weak zonules, extreme axial lengths, Small pupils have inherent challenges, which the surgeon may find daunting and difficult leading to untoward complications and suboptimal outcomes. This IC aims at bringing forth important surgical pearls and tips from experienced surgeons in a video based teaching format to help manage difficult scenarios with finesse and ease.
