Abstract

Creation of the Continuous curvilinear capsulorrhexis (CCC) is one of the most critical steps of cataract surgery, as it ensures safe removal of the nucleus and the long-term stability of the IOL. A well performed rhexis at the beginning of cataract surgery makes the rest of the surgery a smooth sail. Hence perfecting the technique of CCC is crucial for every cataract surgeon, from the beginner to the expert who performs premium IOL surgeries. This specially curated IC is conducted by a team of expert cataract surgeons, who are experienced cataract surgery trainers also. It has been designed with the cataract learner in mind and can help convert them into confident cataract surgeons and can equip the skilled surgeon to undertake more challenging cases. The presentations are based on a collection of surgical videos and will be interactive and will exhaustively cover all aspects of CCC, from the basics to handling complications and techniques useful in difficult surgeries.
