Abstract

Presbyopia correcting IOLs are being increasingly used in cataract surgery. The reason could be due to finer refined surgeries , availability of a variety of lenses for different personality types and partly also due to peer pressure and industry pressure. Besides more and more patients are now demanding spectacle free vision post cataract surgery. There is a high risk of giving in to the patient demand and then having to face his or her ire for the rest of our lives. This course aims to clear the air on the use of these lenses by sharing honest opinions and experiences by stalwarts. By the end of the course the delegate should have a reasonably clear idea on which lens to use in which patient and whether to use these lenses at all in the first place.
